Seminars

The Kawano Laboratory has three main types of regular seminars:

MR (Monthly Report)

Each member presents their research progress on a monthly basis.

LS (Literature Seminar)

Twice a year, members research and present 5-10 papers related to their research topic in a story-based format.

CT (Current Topics)

Held 1-2 times per month, members research and present recent developments in the field, highlighting selected articles and papers.

We also have an annual Proposal Seminar in a retreat format, which combines research presentations with various recreational activities.

Since we have international students, seminar presentations are in English. Even if you're not confident in English, you'll gradually become comfortable speaking and listening. The key to English is to be confident and not shy away from using it.

Conference Presentations

Major Domestic Conferences

Japan Society of Coordination Chemistry

Held annually in September

The Crystallographic Society of Japan

Held annually in October

The Chemical Society of Japan,

Held annually in March

We also participate in other conferences such as the Japan Society of Drug Delivery System, CSJ Science Festa, The symposium on the Chemistry of natural products, The society of Physical Organic Chemistry, The Polarography Society of Japan, Quantum Beam Science Festa, and CEMSupra.

International Conferences

When opportunities arise, members can participate in international conferences.
